Locked out because you can’t remember your password? You can reset it from the H5 login screen in a few minutes.
Check first
Before you reset
Sometimes the password is fine and something else is wrong. Rule these out first.
Caps lock and spaces. Passwords are case-sensitive. Turn caps lock off, and check autofill hasn’t added a space or an old password.
The right address. A clone page will reject your real password. Check the padlock and read the domain letter by letter.
The right username. A wrong username looks exactly like a wrong password. Type it slowly, exactly the way you registered it.

Reset your password
The exact wording on screen may differ. Follow the prompts you see.
- Open H5 and check the address
Use your own saved link, then confirm the padlock and the spelling of the domain.
- Tap Log in, then forgot password
On the login screen, look for the forgot password option and tap it.
- Follow the on-screen prompts
Enter the details it asks for. If it sends a verification code (OTP), type it into the page, and nowhere else.
- Set a new password and log in
Choose a strong password you haven’t used before, then log in with it straight away to check it works.
After the reset
Other browsers or phones where you were logged in may ask you to log in again with the new password. That’s normal.
If your browser saved the old password, update it when it asks, so autofill doesn’t keep typing the wrong one.
Stuck
No reset option, or no code?
If you can’t find a forgot password option, or the code never arrives, don’t keep hammering the button. Too many attempts can lock you out for a while.
If the code doesn’t arrive
Check your signal and wait a minute or two before asking for another code. Look in any spam or filtered SMS folder, and make sure the number on your account is still the one you use.
If there’s no reset option
Contact customer service through the H5 site itself and follow what they ask you to do there. Never use a phone number or chat link that someone sent you.
New password
Pick one that sticks
Strong enough to keep people out, easy enough that you won’t be back here next week.
- Use three or four random words joined together. Long beats clever.
- Don’t reuse an old password or one from another site.
- Skip birthdays, phone numbers and your name.
- Save it in a password manager on your own phone.
Security
Watch for fake resets
Nobody genuine asks for your OTP. Fake “reset” DMs and calls ask you to read out a code or send your password. That code is the key to your account. Don’t share it.

Reset questions
How do I reset my Winbox password?
Open H5, check the address, tap Log in and then the forgot password option. Follow the on-screen prompts, enter the verification code if it asks, and set a new password.
Will resetting on H5 change my app password too?
Yes. H5 and the app use the same Winbox account, so your new password works on both.
I forgot my username, not my password. What now?
Try the usernames you normally use, checking spelling and capitals. If none work, contact customer service through the H5 site and follow what they ask you to do there.
Someone messaged me a reset link. Should I use it?
No. Reset only from your own saved H5 link. Unrequested reset links and “support” DMs are a common way to steal accounts.
